- ATC – Air Traffic Control
- RPL – Recreational Pilot Licence
- PAPI – Precision Approach Path Indicator – A set of 4 lights that are either red or white. An ideal approach path is indicated with 2 red and 2 white lights. More red than white indicates the approach angle is too shallow, aircraft is lower than ideal path. More white than red means the approach is too steep, aircraft is higher than ideal path.
- NOTAM – Notice to Airmen – Messages informing pilots of temporary changes or abnormal conditions that could impact their flight
- TAF – Terminal Aerodrome Forecast – Expected weather conditions at and around an airport usually valid for 24 hours
- METAR – Meteological Aerodrome Report – Current weather conditions at the airport. Provides information about wind, visibility, cloud conditions, and other weather elements.
